Virtual Conference: July 28-30.
As we gather this year, we do so recognizing that YCWI is a collective effort, created by the women in ministry who came before us seeing a need for a supportive group, maintained by the current generation of clergy women, and hopefully to be expanded upon for generations to come.
In our time of reflection, we will ground ourselves in Isaiah 25:6
On this mountain the Lord of hosts will make for all peoples a feast of rich food, a feast of well-aged wines, of rich food filled with marrow, of well-aged wines strained clear.
This passage reminds us of what it means to find ourselves on holy ground in a safe and secure place that is sacred; a place where self-reflection is invited and God reveals God’s self. More than that, it is also a place where people gather around the table from all journeys in life and all places, recognizing that just as relationships develop and grow richer over time, the work we are called to do in ministry also takes time.
